July 2015 QST Reviews SkyPi
According to the ARRL:
“The SkyPi-40 is a great way to combine your Raspberry Pi with Amateur Radio and learn” “Reports from 37 stations from W6 in the West to OH2 in the East” The SkyPi passed independent ARRL laboratory testing for spectral purity. Few kits offer this endorsement!
Since the review, RadWAV made WSPR frequency calibration automatic and added a beautiful new CW application with a real-time spectrum display as shown below:

“I did receive my SkyPi-40 kit and must say in the 100+ kits I've built this one is in the top 5 for ease and well laid out building instructions. The software was extremely easy to install on the Raspberry Pi B+ that I used with my SkyPi-40 transmitter, and worked the first time I tried it and was heard right away by a lot of stations. So far I have only transmitted in the WSPR mode with my unit. My only recommendation to the manufacturer of this kit is to make it available on other bands than just 40 meters. 20 meters is my favorite band. I would recommend this very well engineered kit to anyone, even if it is their first kit.” -Jim VE7UV, Canada
RadWAV Customer Care: Thanks for the suggestion Jim! There are now SkyPi's for 20 meters -- and 15, 17, 30, 40 meters as well.

"I'm well on my way to building my RadWAV board, and I have to say it's one of the best kit building experiences I have had. So far the documentation has been lucid and the packing of the parts outstanding. The quality of the ship has been well beyond my expectations. "

Satisfaction
"Just to let you know I completed the build of my SkyPi-40 today and it worked the first time, with immediate spots on wsprnet across Europe - 12 stations in the first 20 minutes of operation. So very impressed."
-SkyPi-40 Customer from Dunstable, United Kingdom
"I built my SkyPi yesterday...a very nicely designed kit."

"I have tried your RTTY code and I can say it works well, in fact I meshed your RTTY demo and some code from a distributor of a GPS device and wrote a python program to send a RTTY beacon signal including time and location. The whole thing came together pretty easily and may work as a package for a balloon flight."
